Yoga for Back Pain / Vinyasa Yoga with Wrist Injuries

Today I am most lucky to have not one, but two guest posts up on some of my favourite yoga blogs.

Please check out the blog of the fabulous Nadine Fawell for another detailed, photo-illustrated sequence of therapeutic yoga stretches for low back pain.

And then, head on over to Nobel's ever-philosophical Ashtanga yoga blog, Yoga in the Dragon's Den, for a post on how I maintained a vinyasa practice with a wrist injury.

Enjoy, comment, share, and keep the yoga blogsphere buzzing!

  1. If you have injured your back then it is better to rest for some time rather than doing other activities to heal it

    1. Yes, that's very true! But for many people who suffer from daily backaches, yoga can provide much-needed relief. :)

  2. i have back fusions done a decade ago, arthritis, and a degenerating spine, 3 more discs that are badly herniated. The entire reason i can still stand up straight, i did the exercises that my physical therapist recommended, and do yoga at "my level" every day. It is alarming how many people just go to the doctors, then do not do what they can at home. There is a learning curve after a severe injury, but you do begin to "know thyself", and walking and yoga will keep you immersed in this big world for a while longer! namaste
